"Chronicles of... what?!"
It's a total conversion of "Neverwinter Nights 2" (NWN2).
That means, that we are using the game- and graphics-engine... Everything else is totally selfmade.
And as you might think already... We've got some problems

First of all, we are looking for some CG-Artists. We need custom buildings and weapons.
So if anyone is interested in the project, follow these links:
The site to the game is (at the moment) german only. Visit it via
http://www.verderbnis.com or
http://portal.verderbnis.comHere are some graphics (mostly screenshots):
(Note: Most of them were taken with the Gameworld-Editor. Graphics quality will be a lot better in the game itself.)

These one show the small village "Waldfurt" (in english it would be something like Woodsville).

Three classes are almost done:
The Paladin:
The Paladin is a warrior, bound to the temple of hope, lives meticulous for the rules of it. But he is more, than a simple warrior. A Paladin follows literal his codex and would rather die, than break the rules. Paladins often command small troops of soldiers or escort the regiments of the kingdom, to encourage their moral.
Paladins are modest and docile and because of that well respected. Most people consider a paladin as a saint.
The Powers of a Paladin:
A Paladin has no "active" spells or special abilities. In adjustment to this difference the paladin gains a lot of bonuses when implicated in a fight, unless he do not break the rules of the codex. If not so, the bonuses are replaced by penalties.
An example for a rule of the codex is, that a paladin would never attack someone from behind.
To say it with other words: Standing in front of an enemy will give you imense powers, attack him from behind will make you weak.
The Cabbalist:
The Cabbalist is a sorcerer, who studied the writings of the shadow, which are forbidden for some good reasons:
They are filled with the baser and most fearful secrets of the shadowmagic, affected by insanity that much, that everyone who study it, will sooner or later collapse mentally.
He gains his powers by reciting learned passages. For everybody else these words, that one can hear, form mighty spells, while the Cabbalist is suffers the tortures of the shadows again.
The powers of the Cabbalist:
The spells of the cabbalist are subdivided to three categories:
Rituals, words of mischief and the most hazardous words of inansinty. Latter contain the most dangerous spells of the world, but could kill the caster and his allies as well.
The Spellcaster:
The Spellcaster is a magician in perfection. These who studied their abilities at the old academy of Relyn can go the way of a Spellcaster.
To know the magic in its fundamentals, the streams of magic powers the logical configuration of spells is the specialism of Spellcasters, in which he unfold his true powers.
Like Magicians the Spellcaster affects the magic that surrounds him with his pure mental power: Spoken spells and gestures are to crude to him and also reagents are not specific enough to form the magic, like its necessary for Spellcaster.
The powers of the Spellcaster:
The Spellcaster is the most powerful defensive sorcerer in "Chronicles of Depravity". The education of magician is his background. He uses his incredible keen sense for magic powers, to reassemble the smallest particles of magic and cast his spells by this way, change or reverse it. To have a Spellcaster in your party means, that you are amazingly magic flexible.
There are much more classes in the game, but these three are almost completed.
Questions are welcome.
We will release the game in "episodes". That means more flexibilty for the designers and more to discover for the players. Each area will be filled with quests, dungeons and lots of secrets and npc's... waiting for the adventurer: You!

Every single area will be a small MMO for itself. With objectives and adventures for every level (at this time, the levelcap is at 20). When all areas will be done, you can play (regardless wich level) in every single zone and find your way up to level 20.
With some endurance you could even level up to 20 in ONE zone. - But that should be very boring

A first alpha-version of the major-kingdom "Ferath" should be playable in November 2008. We need testers, that are interested in roleplaying and MMORPG- or RPG-Gameplay. If everything works fine, the first dungeon of the game will be accessable in the preAlpha-Test in November! - With other words: ALPHA-KEYS for FREE! ... Just let me know.
Finally a writer joined our team and began his work on the dialogues with and between NPC's.
We also have a quest-designer joined... So there will be a few "available for all classes"-quests in some days.
The work on "Kingdom Ferathor" and its capital city "Ferath" has begun.
A great help is our new city-designer, that supply us with many sketches.
The 3D-Work, scripting and so on, will be done by the "old" developers Very Happy (me for example).
Feedback please
